[Outlook] How to add Gmail account (Google) Type: POP3

Before adding the Gmail Account on MS Outlook, you have to enable POP type on Gmail.com.

How to enable POP on Gmail.com

  1. On the right side, click on an icon ‘Configuration’ 
  2. Choose ‘Settings’
  3. Click ‘Forwarding and POP/IMAP’
  4. Enable POP for all mail
  5. Save Changes

How to add an Gmail account on MS Outlook (Type: POP3) 

1. File > info > Add Account

2. Choose Manually configure server setting or additional server types



3. Choose 'Internet E-mail'




4. Type your information
      Account Type : POP
      Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com
      Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
      Click ‘More Settings ...’

5. On the Internet E-mail Settings window, Tab: Outgoing Server 
     Check ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’

Check ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’Then, go to tab: advanced


6. Tab: Advanced
    Incoming server (POP) : 995 (SSL)
    Outgoing server (SMTP) : 587 (TLS)
    

Click 'OK'
7. Click on 'Test Account Settings...'

Click 'Test account settings'
8. The Status would has shown ‘Completed’
